Young Life in Central Florida is committed to the Young Life Forward Goal of:
Expanding our staff to include full and part-time staff of diverse backgrounds to better reach students in our communities. This includes going into communities of kids that are hard to reach through traditional means or find themselves outside of the typical teenage world.
OUR 3 YEAR VISION
at a Glance
GOAL 1:
An Established young life presence in at least 4 central florida counties
Currently in Orange, Seminole, and Brevard Counties. Our hope is to expand Young Life ministry to Lake and/or Osceola Counties.
GOAL 3:
LAUNCH STAND ALONE ORLANDO AREA CAPERNAUM MINISTRY
Young Life has had active Capernaum ministries serving Orlando students with disabilities and/or special needs for the last 10 years. Our goal is to see this ministry impact expand to encompass students around metro Orlando, by hiring a full-time Capernaum Director to oversee growth.
GOAL 2:
STRENGTHEN Diversity & Increasing MULTI-ETHNIC PRESENCE IN METRO ORLANDO
Central Florida Young Life is committed to ministry reflecting the diversity of our local population. As our community continues to become a vibrant, diverse population, Young Life is committed to diverse ministry, so that EVERY kid has the opportunity to hear the Gospel message.
A big mission within this goal is recruiting staff and volunteer teams to reach the growing Latino population, which is currently not being served by Young Life in Central Florida.
